Sip your wine and watch your weight.

As St. Patrick’s Day approaches, soon we’ll all have another excuse for a good party.

There’s nothing like a good Irish themed party to cheer us all up, but if you’ve been proud of your progress in reaching your fitness and weight goals, don’t let the party drinking set you back.

Have you ever asked yourself how the alcohol units in your wine might translate into calories too? Being on a diet and then drinking half a bottle of wine on an empty stomach to celebrate is not the way to go.

Experts recommend keeping your alcohol levels within the daily benchmark of two to three units a day if you’re a woman and three to four units a day if you’re a man, regardless of body weight.

This St Patrick’s Day let your hair down and have a great time, but remember to drink responsibly. See my tips about how to drink sensibly here:
